Bethany Hamilton Signs Autographs at Ron Jon Surf Shop

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — Soul Surfer, Bethany Hamilton, stopped by Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach on Saturday to meet fans and sign autographs. Hamilton, who was bitten by a 14-foot shark in 2003 and lost her left arm in the attack, did not lose faith. A month later Bethany came back strong to win a national title. Hamilton was also promoting her signature sandal by Cobian and her movie, “Heart of a Soul Surfer.” A portion of the proceeds of her sandal will go towards her Friends of Bethany foundation, which supports shark attack survivors, amputees, and serves to inspire others through her life story.

The name Bethany Hamilton is synonymous with the word inspiration. She is a professional surfer, who at the age of 13, lost her left arm in a shark attack.
