HOUSTON, TX — San Francisco 49ers back-up quarterback, Colt McCoy, recently shared his story and the importance of faith with Young Life supporters at a benefit dinner at River Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. Organizers of the event also showed a live video feed of a bus filled with youngsters who will be able to go to camp thanks to some of the evening’s proceeds. The event brought in a record-breaking $870,000.

Young Life’s Houston Urban Multi-cultural Ministry focuses on kids in those wards and in Southwest Houston. Other acknowledgments went to chairs Doris and Terry Looper and to the Rev. Bill Lawson, who was honored with the Spirit of Jim Rayburn Award for his contributions to Young Life ministry in the Third and Fifth Wards.
