Reeves went on to say, “If I could cry, if it wasn’t a sissy to be a crier, I’d by crying. But it’s just an honor. You get the hair on the back of your neck kind of raises up. It’s just unbelievable … without question it’s the greatest honor I’ve had in pro football.”
Reeves coached the Denver Broncos from 1981-92, where he compiled a 110-73-1 record and led the Broncos to a franchise-best five division titles and three Super Bowl appearances (1986-87, `89), all ending in losses. Due to his clashes with his star QB, John Elway, is ultimately what led to his dismissal after a disappointing 1992 season.

Team owner Pat Bowlen created the Ring of Fame. It’s displayed on the fifth level facade of the stadium to honor former players and staffers who played significant roles in the franchise’s history.
