ROCKAWAY, NY — MLB legend, Darryl Strawberry, will be the featured speaker on October 17 at 7:00 pm, when the Rockaway Township Substance Abuse Alliance (RTSAA) hosts a motivational presentation featuring the four-time World Series legend. The former Major League Baseball star will visit Morris Knolls High School to highlight his life on and off the field and his struggles with substance abuse that curtailed his career. Darryl Strawberry is a retired MLB outfielder who played for the New York Mets from 1984–1990. He is an evangelical born-again Christian and has appeared on The Trinity Broadcasting Network.
