MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Former Minnesota Twins designated hitter and Hall of Famer Paul Molitor will make appearances in the Twins Winter Caravan from Monday through Thursday, January 16th to January 19th, 2017. The multi-week event will feature two routes for week one and three routes for week two. Paul Molitor will make appearances in multiple private, public and school stops during week one, route one. According to the Minnesota Twins website, the Twins Winter Caravan is one of the longest running and most extensive in professional sports:

“The Twins Winter Caravan is one of the longest running and most extensive offseason team caravans in professional sports. It features teams of current and former players visiting schools, hospitals, corporations and service clubs during the day with a traditional “hot stove” program each evening.”

Paul Molitor is a former designated hitter and infielder who played for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1978 to 1992, the Toronto Blue Jays from 1993 to 1995 and the Minnesota Twins from 1996 to 1998 in a playing career that spanned 21 years. In 2004, Molitor, in his first year of eligibility, became one of the first players to spend a significant part of his career as a designated hitter to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Molitor overcame cocaine addiction after he developed an addiction to the drug in 1980. After quitting the drug, Molitor credited his success to his Christian faith in overcoming his addiction.
