Former Ohio State Football Coach Jim Tressel Named Keynote Speaker at Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce

HUDSON, OH — Former Ohio State football coach, Jim Tressel, has been named the keynote speaker at the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Oct. 28th. The event is sponsored by Ault Chiropractic, COSE and Goodwill Industries and takes place at 11:30 a.m. at the Clarion Inn and Conference Center in Hudson.

According to Hudson Hub Times, to cite sources, Tressel was appointed president of Youngstown State University on July 1 of this year. He also was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Youngstown/Warren Chamber of Commerce. He will discuss his leadership experiences and the impact that higher education has on workforce training and economic growth and development.

Tressel is an educator and former American football college coach. Tressel served as head coach at Youngstown State University from 1986 to 2000 and at Ohio State from 2001 to 2011. He is strong about his Christian faith and values, a man honored by the prominent Christian ministry group Athletes in Action and who was inducted in 2010 into AIA’s “Hall of Faith” — an honor meant to recognize recipients’ faith, leadership, character and integrity.
