LONGVIEW, TX. — Heisman trophy winner and NFL star, Hershel Walker, has been named the keynote speaker on June 16, 2015 at the inaugural ETVarsity Best Preps banquet in Longview, Texas. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center located at 100 Grand Boulevard in Longview. The banquet will recognize more than 300 student athletes with a dinner and awards ceremony naming the top overall male and female athlete, coach of the year and most outstanding athlete from each sport. Herschel Walker is a Heisman trophy winner, former NFL running back and a mixed martial artist. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. He is a born-again Christian and speaks openly about his Christian faith. He made a guest appearance on The Hour of Power, hosted by televangelist Robert Schuller.
