Jim Tressel Named Keynote Speaker at Men’s Challenge Dinner

CANTON, OH. — Former Ohio State University football coach and current Youngstown State University president, Jim Tressel, has been named the keynote speaker at the Men’s Challenge fundraising kickoff dinner to be held on March 12, 2015 at the McKinley Grand Hotel located at 320 Market Ave. S. in Canton. The Men’s Challenge is a Christ-based nonprofit organization that addresses root causes of poverty by assisting unemployable men to achieve sustainable employment. In its third year, Men’s Challenge has had more than 750 men participate in the program. Tickets for the fundraiser are $40. Jim Tressel is an educator and former American football college coach. He served as head coach at Youngstown State University from 1986 to 2000 and at Ohio State from 2001 to 2011. He is strong about his Christian faith and values, a man honored by the prominent Christian ministry group Athletes in Action and who was inducted in 2010 into AIA’s “Hall of Faith” — an honor meant to recognize recipients’ faith, leadership, character and integrity.
