Michael Irvin played his entire professional football career from 1988 to 1999 as a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. Irvin was nicknamed “The Playmaker” for making big plays in big games. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection from 1991 through 1995 plus he was three-time Super Bowl champion for Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII and XXX. Irvin holds numerous honors and awards. He was First-Team All-Pro in 1991, two-time Second-Team All-Pro for 1992 and 1993 and was put on the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007. Following his career as a professional football player, Michael Irvin was a broadcaster for ESPN plus he appeared as an actor in movies and TV shows. Irvin speaks about his faith in Jesus Christ which he attributes to saving him from a much-publicized career marked by drugs, adultery and other troubles.
