Tim Howard is a professional soccer player who plays goalkeeper for English club Everton and the United States national team. He was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in middle school. In 2001 he was named MLS Humanitarian of the Year for his work with children with Tourette's. He is also involved with Athletes in Action, a ministry arm of Campus Crusade for Christ. On June 22, 2009, Howard was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters exhibition basketball team. Each year, the team lists a number of athletes seen as potential players and ambassadors.
